For her beautiful Alpine chalets, she chooses natural materials -mixing wood and metal for instance- providing the perfect backdrop to contemporary works of art and design. Aesthetics are of foremost importance to Alexandra de Pfyffer, although she also enjoys the gracious life that comes from being comfortable in your own home (a significant characteristic brought about by female decorators. Deep generous couches filed with soft cushions, double fire places and mirrors with compositions often designed by herself. She uses sophisticated fabrics and wallpaper often brushed with gold and silver that bring a glow to her decors.
Her inspiration comes from her travelling the world, searching for furniture and objects off the beaten track, keeping an alert eye on the evolution of style through her visits to shows, exhibitions. She sees herself like an orchestra conductor that brings together a variety of talents.Her approach to decoration-considering the diversity of her projects that bring her to work on private residences, hotels, offices, private planes- is very haute couture executed with an extreme attention to details.
The ADP team works in an gallery / studio of project and design settled in the old town of Geneva. They receive their clients in a décor which brings together the essential elements of their style : chic, warm and luxurious. The gallery “Le 15” showcases their favorite designers like Hubert le Gall or Hervé van der Straeten, furniture lines such the one from Romeo Sozzi for Promemoria, lighting collection from Porta Romana.
Once or twice a year, ADP Decoration organizes viewings for promising young artists who are then exposed throughout the year.
To date, some of Alexandra de Pfyffer projects have been featued in major international magazines such as Elle Décoration france, Point de Vue, AD Germany. In addition, a book on her work “A Way of Life” was published in 2010 by Archibooks.
